However, FOX Sports analyst Joel Klatt believes there is at least one team with the tools to take on and maybe even take down the Crimson Tide.On Monday, Klatt identified Oklahoma as the team with “the best shot and the best blueprint to compete with Alabama.”The Sooners under second-year head coach Lincoln Riley and junior quarterback Kyler Murray are 7-1 on the season. Even with a loss to Texas, they have shown a penchant for dominating performances.Oklahoma, however, is no lock to win the Big 12, let alone secure a spot in the College Football Playoff. Their loss to the Longhorns earlier this season exposed weaknesses, particularly on defense.Yet Klatt is still high on their potential.”I think this is the team with the best shot and the best blueprint to compete with Alabama.”@joelklatt believes @OU_Football’s championship window is still open. pic.twitter.com/HE32nwKB69— FOX College Football (@CFBONFOX) October 29, 2018Alabama, meanwhile, is 8-0 and have demolished every opponent they’ve played – by a minimum of 20 points each time.Historically speaking, Oklahoma does have a bit of an edge. In five total meetings between the two sides, Oklahoma has won three – all of which have come in the last 20 years. The last time the two sides played each other was the Sugar Bowl in January 2014. The Sooners won that game.last_img read more
